The Boston Conservatory, Associate Director of Choral Studies – Boston, Massachusetts
Conducted the Conservatory’s Women’s Chorus of 45–65 undergraduate and graduate voices. Responsibilities included bi-weekly rehearsals with chorus, programming of three/four concerts each year, an annual program with Conservatory orchestra (as conductor), preparation of chorus for performances with the New England Philharmonic and Conservatory orchestra (as preparer), coordination with school staff to secure marketing, recording, instrumental accompaniment, and other administrative details
Worked with director of choral studies, department chair, and division chair to develop curriculum for graduate conducting majors, to establish policies and procedures for student evaluation, and to establish new performance opportunities for student. Sat on MM Oral Comprehensive Exam Committees. Supervise various graduate-level independent study projects
Taught a range of courses within the Composition, Theory, and Music History Department:
Choral Repertoire and Performance Practice, a four-semester sequence (a course of my design which is a degree requirement for all MM choral conductors)

Served as assistant conductor under Dr. Jameson Marvin, Director of Choral Activities and Senior Lecturer on Music at Harvard University. Responsibilities included leading rehearsals and sectionals, conducting run-out concerts, and working with staff and officers in the operations of the ensemble. |

Mt. Holyoke College, Interim Choral Director and Visiting Lecturer – South Hadley, Massachusetts
Led the College’s three choral ensembles. Responsibilities include five weekly rehearsals, programming of a dozen annual performances in the region, management of $31,000 budget, teaching undergraduate conducting, supervision of staff assistant and choral library, coordination with two student boards, hiring of guest musicians, and various department responsibilities |

The Lutheran Church of Honolulu, Director of Music and Liturgy– Honolulu, Hawai‘i
Lead one of the state's most prominent sacred music programs consisting of four ensembles and nearly 70 musicians. Responsibilities include programming, rehearsal, and/or oversight for a mixed choir, a small ensemble which sings informal music, an all-male Compline Choir, and a children’s choir and orchestra. Church instruments include a 33-rank Beckerath organ, a 3-rank continuo organ, a five-octave set and a two-octave set of Petit and Fritsen handbells, a French double
harpsichord, and a Grotrian grand piano. |

Boston Choral Ensemble, Artistic Director – Boston, Mass.
Conducted a chamber choir—with an auditioned membership of 32—dedicated to challenging choral music presented in an accessible setting. Responsibilities included programming of four annual programs, long-term artistic and organizational development, management of an international choral commissioning competition, budget tracking and forecasting, engagement of professional guest musicians, and frequent cooperation on various initiatives as requested by the board of directors. Annual budget has grown from $5,000 to $70,000 and audiences more than doubled during my tenure. [link] |

Arlington Street Church, Director of Music – Boston, Mass.
Directed a music program in a church with weekly attendance of approximately 300 and a choir of 35 members. Programming included small choral-orchestral works. Administrative responsibilities included oversight of 7 staff, management of a $30,000+ budget, long-term budget planning, committee administration, a concert series, an artist in residence program, fundraising, membership recruitment and retention. |

The Maine Gay Men’s Chorus, Artistic Director – Portland, Maine
Served as artistic director and conductor of the $50,000+ non-profit organization through nearly five seasons that included trips to San Jose, Calif.; Boston, Mass.; and Montreal, Quebec. Developed thirteen programs including a holiday program broadcast state-wide on Maine Public Radio, December 2002. Membership and budget doubled during my time with the chorus |

Festival is a two-week workshop with tracks for conductors, composers, and singers. Daily schedule includes large rehearsal blocks, mid-day concerts, specialized workshops. Meeting ends with public concerts around the city in muncipal and university venues. Faculty include professors from Brazil, USA, and Sweden.[link] |
